Our Head Office and flagship store. The Darlington branch is where it all started. The journey didn’t begin in a grand Victorian office with lots of staff though.
Let’s rewind back to 2006.
A Darlington living room, a laptop and a pen and paper was about it for Venture Properties. No employees, no office, no landlords and not even any properties. The road ahead was a daunting one; especially given the competition was so well-established in the town.
Fast forward to the present day and we employ 24 members of staff in Darlington alone, manage hundreds of rental properties and rent and sell more than any other estate or letting agent in the town. Quite an achievement wouldn’t you say?
We are proud to have been awarded an 'Exceptional' status by The Estate Agents Masters and are ranked as such in the Best Estate Agency Guide 2023 based on service, marketing and results. The result, after all, is what it's all about!
Darlington is County Durham’s largest town with a population of approximately 100,000 people and is home to several major employers, including the NHS, Amazon, Cummins, EE, Student Loans and recently offices from the Treasury and Education departments.
There is plenty going on in the town with a busy town centre, with a mixture of major retailers and independent shops. Outside of the town centre, there are plenty of green spaces, including the stunning South Park, and peaceful walks along the River Tees.
Surrounding villages are highly sought after and include Middleton St George, Hurworth, Neasham, Stapleton, Low Coniscliffe and High Coniscliffe.
Darlington benefits from outstanding transport links. The A1(M) North & South and the A66 are on the doorstep, as well as Teesside International Airport on the outskirts. Its railway station is on the main East Coast line linking up to Edinburgh northbound and London southbound. Larger cities of Newcastle and York are just a short journey away.
Originally a small village founded by the Saxons in the 11th Century, Darlington enjoys a rich and intriguing history but is known the world over for its pivotal role in the opening of the first ever passenger steam railway in 1825. The Stockton and Darlington Railway continues to this day to attract railway enthusiasts from across the globe to see where it all started.
