The Venture team love to share what we’ve been up to and what inspires us, and so here, in the fourth installment of our feature, are the three things property coordinator Jack Magee has been digging…
Walking the dog
There is nothing I love more than a good walk with my two dogs in the morning. I find walking not only improves my physical fitness, but it also boosts my mental health and wellbeing. Taking the time to get out in some of the beautiful County Durham countryside is a great way to clear my mind, away from the distraction of an urban environment.
Music
My taste in music is very varied, and I enjoy everything from Motown and jazz right through to rock and roll – it depends on my mood. I always find it difficult to choose one artist that I enjoy the most, although at the moment I’m listening a lot to Gregory Porter. His new album, All Rise, is amazing; I particularly love a track named Concord, which has such powerful and uplifting lyrics.
TV
I enjoy nothing more than getting engrossed in a good TV series. I have recently watched two really interesting series; first, The Fall, on Netflix, which is a three-series drama starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, about a serial killer and the race to find him. The second is Manhunt Unabomber, which is based on the true events that happened in America between 1995 and 1997, where they used what’s called linguistic analysis to capture terrorist Ted Kaczynski.
If you enjoyed reading our feature, make sure you keep your eyes peeled as we’ll interview another member of our team to share the three things they’re digging very soon.
