Raising money is the icing on the cake at our Macmillan Coffee Morning!

Here at Venture Properties, we love raising money for charity, just as much as we love eating cake, so, for the ninth year running, we’ve done both with the help of The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning!

Across our six branches in County Durham, each team pitched in to buy and sell coffee and cakes to the community, raising a grand total of £1180.34 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

 

We didn’t know we had so many budding Mary Berrys and Paul Hollywoods in our mix and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who baked and brought in the yummy treats.With an array of beautifully made cupcakes, brownies, sausage rolls and quiches, we were all feeling a bit full-up come lunch time!

 

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which we held on Friday, 29^th September, is MacMillan’s biggest nationwide fundraising event to support people facing cancer, inviting all to gather over coffee and cake and donate the cost of their cuppa and treats to MacMillan in the process. It’s a great way to bring the community together to take a stand against cancer, and we’re proud to play a part every year.

Even the typical North East weather couldn’t stop us heading out onto the streets with our brollies to spread the word (and the crumbs!).

Everyone at Venture Properties would like to say a huge thank you to those who called in to one of our branches and made a contribution towards our £1180.34 total.We couldn’t have done it without you!

Now, you’ll have to excuse us, we’re off to watch Great British Bake Off and practice our Victoria Sponge baking skills for next year.We hope to see you there!
