Meet Sue – our newest recruit… and star baker

We’re always looking to add to our talented team here at Venture to ensure we’re at the top of our game, and so we’d love to introduce you to the newest member - Susan London, who works in our Darlington office as a property administrator.

Having joined us in July 2020, she is really settling into her new role, which involves ensuring that all lettings regulations are adhered to and that our property management arm of the business is running smoothly.

Susan, who was born and bred in in Darlington, is very excited to get stuck into her new position, saying: “Having started at Venture with no previous experience in the industry, I’m really looking forward to learning all about the property market. I love working as part of a team and am keen to develop new skills.”

Managing director Michael O’Connor, added: “With the increasing number of regulations being set within the lettings industry, coupled with the amount of properties we manage, we wanted to bring Susan in to ensure that everything is put in place ahead of time and our high standards don’t dip. It’s great to see that we’re expanding – it means we must be doing something right!”

She began her working life as a Saturday girl in a hairdressing salon, and in her spare time she loves gardening, reading, walking the dog and Zumba.

Her hidden talent is that she bakes amazing cakes – we’re happy to be product testers!

The one household appliance she couldn’t live without is the kettle

She lived in Germany for five years
