Lynn Mullen and Matthew Laverick-Elliott, two members of our Lettings Team at our Darlington office recently went above the call of duty to help a tenant moving into one of our rental properties out of a tight spot. The tenant to be, Mr Kindembe was moving into the area from Slough and had arranged to come into the Darlington branch to sign the paperwork and receive the keys to his new home but was unexpectedly delayed due to very heavy traffic on the M1 which meant he arrived in Darlington at 8.30pm on a Friday evening.
Mr Kindembe had called ahead and informed our office of his predicament and being new to the area was concerned that he would have to find alternative accommodation for the night for him and his family.
Lynn and Matthew, without being asked, decided they would meet back at the office at 8.30pm to meet the family after their long drive and get the paperwork signed and hand over the keys.
Mr Kindembe and family were delighted that Lynn and Matthew had gone above and beyond the call of duty to help and said
‘ I would like to formally and publicly commend Lynn Mullen and Matthew Laverick-Elliot from Venture Properties for the excellent service they provided to us. We were caught up in a terrible heavy traffic on M1; this resulted in almost 4 hours delayed and we finally arrived in Darlington at around 8:30 p.m. Despite the office being closed Lynn and Matthew made themselves available for a late sign up. My family and I were so impressed about the level of service provided by Lynn and Matthew and that was far beyond our expectations. In addition, there were no additional costs involved.
I believe that Lynn and Matthew deserve to be congratulated for such an outstanding performance’
