12th October 2024 marked 25 years since Angela Banks, our Crook Office Manager, began her career in estate agency.
She started her career in property back in 1999 with a temporary contract in a national estate agent based in Newcastle and things were very different back then.
The internet was in its infancy and her employer needed someone to add all their listings online. 12 months later and that job was done but it now meant a new team had to be formed for the enquiries coming through from clients via the internet, aptly named 'The Internet Team' and this is where Angela slotted in.
Fast forward 5 years and in 2005, after a move back to her home town of Crook, Angela joined a local estate agent which led to a meeting which would go on to define the careers of both Angela and the lady she was about to meet. That lady was, of course, Julie Garthwaite – our Crook office Director.
This was the start of a working relationship which is still going strong almost 20 years on and which has proved incredibly successful.
In 2013, Venture Properties opened a new office in Crook which was spearheaded by Julie with Angela alongside her. Year-after-year, our Crook office continue to be market leaders for the area and a huge amount of our success goes down to the hard work of Angela in managing such a busy office for such a long period of time.
The staff at our Crook office are now renowned locally for their hard work, honesty and professionalism which sees most of their business come from word of mouth recommendations.
Congratulations on such a wonderful milestone, Angela, and thank you for all your hard work over the years. We really appreciate it and never take it for granted.
